Administrative Professional's Day

Wednesday was Administrative Professional's day!  My office happens to have an absolutely fabulous admin professional --Regina!--so we took this opportunity to really celebrate her and her contributions!  After organizing a nice breakfast, I knew that I wanted to make her a card so she would know how much we appreciate her.

I pulled out my "Forever Young" Cricut cartridge because the sunglasses cut was calling my name -- just begging to be featured on this card!  I used the Cricut Craft Room software to  weld Regina's initials into the frame and then cut the lenses out of some black glitter paper I had in my stash.  To finish off the glasses, I used my i-Rock to adhere a little bit of purple bling.

The 5X7 card base is black layered with white and a pink and black polka dots designer paper (by Recollections).  To add a bit more visual interest, I used my paper trimmer to cut strips of black and white paper to layer on top of the polka dots.  The sentiment was computer generated and framed with black paper.

I made the envelope using my Martha Stewart Scoring Board (I love that thing!) and embellished it with the remnants of the polka dot paper.

Regina really liked it!...and truth be told- I do too!!  As always, thanks for stopping by and I'll see you after my next Creative Daze!

A phenomenal job on this card! How cool that you have Regina holding it. Such a nice gesture.
