A couple of months ago, I was asked to create some thank you cards. Since I've really been feeling my mojo lately (LOL) I figured I'd better harness some of this energy and come up with a design or two!
The first card I made was an A2-sized modified version of Cricut's Valentine's Day card number 4. I love the roses on the card, so I used the Cricut Craft Room to hide the original "I love you" phrase and then used the Quarter Note cartridge font to cut the word "thanks". Since yellow roses are a symbol of friendship, I used a nice bright yellow for the card insert and sentiment. I paired the card with a white envelope and made a set of 4!
The second card I made sported an ultra-clean and simple design. This was a little bit of a departure from my usual creations but I like the way it turned out! I have been wanting to use a swallowtail pennant for a while now and this card presented the perfect opportunity. Using the Mini Love Book from Cricut, I cut the pennant out of paper from the Stardust stack by DCWV. The Kraft paper base is A2-sized and the sentiment is computer generated with a little bit of inking around the edges. Since the card was so simple, I used some pop dots to lift the pennant for some dimension. Paired with a matching Kraft envelope, I made a set of 4 of these as well. But I didn't stop there- I made a box to house them!
Using the clutch-style card box template featured on The Wizard's Hangout I kept with the clean and simple design. I finished the box off by using another swallowtail pennant as the closure. I think it turned out to be a pretty cute set!
Whew! That was a lot of fun-- I always enjoy a good ol' Creative Daze!! Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you guys next time!
