A New Twist on an Old Fav!

I volunteered to create some baby shower invitations for my friend- because I'm *always* down for a crafty project!  I was so excited when she told me the color scheme was leopard print and corral with accents of gold! How much fun is that?!  As I was planning the design, I came across an old favorite: the New Arrival Cricut cartridge!

It's been a while since I've done anything with this cartridge, but I knew that the cute outfit for the little girl was just what I needed for this invitation. While I was working, my design was coming together, but the color plan was causing me some concern. I was trying to figure out how to use the leopard print...hmmm... I knew that I wanted to make the outfit out of the leopard print, but I couldn't find any paper with a pattern small enough to use on the outfit. What to do, what to do??  I knew I couldn't let this paper issue stop me- so I decided to make my own! A couple of Google searches and a few minutes in PowerPoint gave me exactly what I needed!  I printed the pattern on Kraft paper and viola! Lil Diva Leopard Print! LOL

So here's the final product!
