'Tis The Season-- Day 2!

Well, it's the second day of my very first bloghop- and I'm still super excited!  Hopefully you were lead here after checking out Army Wife Learns the Cricut !  If not, you should join in on the blog-hopping holiday fun by starting at Iva Youngs' great blog - www.ivarai.com!
Today, I wanted to share an elegant card that I call...

Christmas Flower

For this card I used the poinsettia cut from the Winter Woodland Cricut cart as my starting point.  I think my favorite part of this card is embossing I did with my Cuttlebug and the Victoria embossing folder.  To bring out the design, I lightly dragged a metallic gold inkpad across the surface.  Normally I wouldn't think to use black on a Christmas card, but this particular creation kind of took on a life of it's own, and I think I like the finished product!

Well thanks so much for stopping in again!  I hope you'll be back one more time tomorrow!!  Now, I'm going to send you on to Rita at http://www.ritahutchesoncobbs.blogspot.com/!!

Have a great day and happy hopping!!
